The tension is on. Consider a typical softball game. The score is tied four to four and Trumbull High school needs one more run to win. The best pitcher at Norwalk High school is sweating, twisting the ball around in her hands, waiting for the signal to pitch. One, two, three, and strike you\u2019re out.<\/p>\n

The pitcher knows the batter\u2019s weakness. Here goes the next person and three, two, one, and she\u2019s out too. The third batter from Trumbull High School comes up. If she hits this, THS could have a chance of winning. Time is ticking and three, two, one and bam she\u2019s out! <\/p>\n

Now Norwalk High is batting. Maddie Festa, the pitcher from THS is waiting for the signal. She goes in for a fast pitch\u2026<\/p>\n

The game between Norwalk high and Trumbull High was on May 1st at 4:00 pm after school. Norwalk might have won the last game but this year\u2019s players are prepared to bring it all. <\/p>\n

\u201cNorwalk High is a very competitive team with some really great players, especially their pitcher,\u201d Jayme Thompson, a sophomore at Trumbull High School, said. \u201cThroughout the months we have been practicing really hard and hopefully we will win this next game. Norwalk better be prepared because we are bringing it all this time. I have a feeling we might not be losing this time around!\u201d Jayme Thompson the outfielder on the THS softball team hopes the team does well.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery team is good until you beat them, basically,\u201d Ali Brown, a sophomore and the team\u2019s pitcher at Norwalk High School, said. \u201cWe played Trumbull last year and won but that doesn\u2019t mean the same results will happen. Both teams have been working hard and we are ready for this game.\u201d <\/p>\n

Not only are both teams ready for the game but so is everyone else who went to cheer on their school. After a close and fiercely competitive game, Trumbull emerged victorious and has an overall record of 7-6. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
