\u201cRumour Has It\u201d that Adele is back after her three year intermission from the top charts, and the statistics show it. \u00a0Her Comeback song \u201cHello\u201d has become the fastest selling single in eighteen years. \u00a0On top of that, within twenty-four hours of it\u2019s release, the music video had already been viewed 27.7 million times, according to DailyMail.com. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In December 2011, Adele\u2019s second album, <\/span>21, <\/span><\/i>which includes record-smashing and nostalgia-inducing hits like <\/span>Someone Like You<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Rolling in the Deep.<\/span><\/i> became the biggest- selling album of the 21st century. \u00a0As of 2014, 30 million copies have been sold worldwide. \u00a0At the 2012 Grammy Awards, Adele won Album of the Year, along with five other awards. \u00a0\u201cThis record is inspired by something that is really normal and everyone’s been through it\u2014just a rubbish relationship,” she said upon receiving the awards. \u00a0Clearly, however, even though inspired by something normal and average, the album, and her music, was not. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, clearly it confused the world when Adele gradually became a memory from the top charts she once dominated. \u00a0After her three year hiatus, many fans were left wondering if they would ever find \u201cSomeone Like You.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On October 23, Adele Released the lead single to her soon-to-come third studio album, \u201cHello.\u201d The song broke several records, like being purchased one million times in its first week, the first song in history to do so. It also holds the record for the shortest amount of time to be viewed 100 million times on Vevo. \u00a0Soon after being released, it became Adele\u2019s fourth song to reach number one on Billboard\u2019s Hot 100 list, and as of the week of December 19, it still reigns as the number one single. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As promised, the full album <\/span>25 <\/span><\/i>was released November 20, 2015, garnering 3.38 million dollars in its first week. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With the awe-inducing success of this album, it is hard to believe that it almost didn\u2019t exist at all. \u00a0After her album <\/span>21<\/span><\/i> was such a success, Adele considered leaving the music industry on a positive note. \u00a0Instead, she decided to take a hiatus to stay home with her young son. \u00a0This decision was followed, she says, by an extreme case of writer\u2019s block, where she feared that she was no longer able to write music. \u00a0Lucky for us, this proved untrue. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While her last album was written about a break-up, Adele assigns a different meaning to <\/span>25<\/span><\/i>. \u00a0“My last record was a break-up record, and if I had to label this one, I would call it a make-up record. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. <\/span>25<\/span><\/i> is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long but, you know, life happened.”<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s safe to say that Adele has made the comeback of a lifetime after the debut of her record-smashing album that strikes the hearts of listeners all over the world. \u00a0Now, Adele plans to embark on her third tour, Adele Live 2016, from February to June 2016, as the world waits to hear more from this amazing artist. \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
