Ticket sales for the prom will be held in the Senior Lounge from April 30 to May 3. Tickets are $90 each.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Senior prom, scheduled for May 31st, is planned to be held at The Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, unlike many of previous years where it was held at the Aqua Turf Club and the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center.<\/p>\n

Miss Kremzar, one of the Senior Class advisors, explained the setup of the venue, saying there will be \u201cintimate seating in separate rooms away from the noise of the main room. It\u2019s a great option for students who want a more toned down environment to eat dinner, for example. There will still be music and they\u2019re beautiful rooms with an outside view.\u201d<\/p>\n

A main criticism by students about the dances in the past is the lack of space on the dance floor due to the tables set up on it. However, The Amber Room\u2019s main room has enough space where there will be no seating on the dance floor, so it will be open the entire night.<\/p>\n

The Amber Room is an award-winning premier catering venue located in Western Connecticut. As a Danbury landmark, The Amber Room Colonnade has modern architecture and twenty-six meticulously-landscaped acres, according to The Amber Room\u2019s website.
\nNigel Hayes, senior class President, is very excited about the prom venue and the event in general, and says the entire class should be too. The venue has colored light features and detailing in all the rooms.<\/p>\n

A common question among the seniors is about the reasoning for the venue change. The Aqua Turf was allegedly booked by another party on the predetermined date for prom. The other times our school looked for were also taken by other schools, forcing Trumbull High to find a different venue.<\/p>\n

Hayes is confident in the fact that \u201cpeople have no need to worry because prom isn\u2019t entirely defined by the venue. The experience and moments there add to the memory, and that\u2019s why we\u2019re working to find an interesting theme to add to Prom.\u201d<\/p>\n

The students and administrators in charge of putting prom together are looking into incorporating decorations and acts to create a theme for \u201can overall amazing night,\u201d Hayes said.<\/p>\n

Hayes also comments on the price of this year\u2019s prom saying the price may change, but barely. \u201cWe\u2019re looking to make Prom as amazing as possible for the class at a fair price. If the price of tickets do go up from last year, it will be for added performers or acts that will make it be beyond worthwhile\u201d.<\/p>\n

Hayes and Kremzar refused to comment on the additional \u201cperformers or acts\u201d until they are positive on their options. However, an experienced DJ and photo booths are being incorporated into the event.<\/p>\n

It is said that they are working on food choices like appetizers, for example mozzarella sticks, pigs in a blanket, and fried cheese balls, as well as a sundae bar. There will also be \u2018mocktails\u2019, nonalcoholic drinks, like strawberry daiquiris and pina coladas.
