\"\"<\/a>Joker is a movie that is going to leave a mark in cinematic history. From the profound messages about the lower class and mental health to the 1970s look of the movie, Phillips gives the audience a film worth way more than a movie ticket. Todd Phillips and the rest of the extraordinary cast have created a movie that will keep you thinking for a long time after you leave the theater.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur Fleck, an aspiring comic with a life full of darkness. He has serious mental health issues and goes to counseling, but it all gets taken away by the city. This results in a roller coaster full of twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Todd Phillips introduces us to a world somewhat similar to our own, with the poor being mistreated while the rich thrive. He introduces us to the characters like mayoral candidate Thomas Wayne (Brett Cullen) and television host Murray Franklin (Robert De Niro) who benefit from these circumstances,while the poor-like Sophie Dumond (Zazie Beetz) and the Flecks are struggling to survive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Various scenes across the movie show the incredible acting abilities Phoenix\u00a0 has, from his pain-filled laugh to the way he dances across the screen. He creates a character that is horrifying but somehow we feel sympathetic towards. He has a perfect presentation of his line especially when he is making his \u201cjokes\u201d like \u201cI hope my death makes more cents than my life\u201d. He creates a version of this comic book favorite that is different from any other movie or comic book version before him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the movie is long, with a 2-hour length, the movie continues to entertain the audience with the various twists and turns involved in\u00a0 Arthur\u2019s journey, as he becomes noticed. It shows how something as small as a bad week can push someone over the edge, and creates a new origin story for the clown prince of crime. With its incredible performances, story, and cinematography, <\/span>Joker <\/span><\/i>is definitely going to be talked about for a long time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
