Written from the point of view of Lily Bloom, a 23 year old, who moved to Boston after the death of her father, It Ends With Us<\/em>, is a highly sought-after title from best-selling author Colleen Hoover who has a number of books that appeal to a crossover young adult audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

All was well with Lily until she met the neurosurgeon, Ryle Kincaid, who she eventually falls in love with. Their relationship gets difficult over time when Bloom crosses paths with her first love, Atlas Corrigan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The way Colleen Hoover addresses each character makes you love them just that much more. I wasn’t sure what to expect as an outcome of this book, but lets just say it was rather shocking.<\/span> It is a story about domestic abuse and violence with a heartbreaking yet needed ending.<\/span><\/p>\n

I still am unable to wrap my head around how while It Ends With Us<\/em> is not considered a romance story–it is 100% a love story first and foremost. It puts you in a spot that forces you to choose yourself over someone you strongly love. Lily Bloom needed to put an end to the continuous violence she was experiencing to help herself in the long-run. I would give this read a 5\/5 due to how it pulled at my heart and by how much enjoyment I received from this novel.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>HOPELESS<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

This book was spectacular. Learning about Sky’s life while also learning more about Dean Holder and how much compassion he has for Sky was amazing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sky is a senior in high school with a very uncertain past, of which she is clueless about. When she meets Holder, her world is flipped upside down.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every encounter with him helps her to learn more and more about her past, through flashbacks. She continues to stay attatched to him although she promised herself she would try to stay far away. Eventually she finds that Holder has been keeping secrets about her the entire time, causing Sky’s entire life to be changed. They learn to love each other through these hardships and Sky is able to break through her inner boundaries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An interesting thing you’ll find in this book, is that Sky’s best friend character, Six, who leaves for Italy, actually appears in another of Hoover’s books, All Your Perfects<\/em>. I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a romance with some interesting twists–5\/5 stars.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
