\"\"<\/a>Opening Day brings new feelings of hope toward a possible World Series run for almost every team. Although this year, fans of the Bronx Bombers will probably have to wait another season for that opportunity. The New York Yankees are currently in dead last in the AL East, far from their first-place finish in the division last year. But what is the cause of this? Why are they doing so badly when current greats like Jude, Cole, and Stanton are on their roster? Let\u2019s break down the top four reasons for their failure of a season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason 1 – Injuries.
\n<\/span>The Yankees are no strangers to injuries, as their players are constantly ending up on the IL as a result of their reckless behavior and poor excuses that the Yankees call their medical trainers. Players on the IL include Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos Rodon, Frankie Montas, Luis Severino, Josh Donaldson, Ben Rortvedt, Jonathan Loaisiga, Luis Gil, Scott Effross, Tommy Kahnle, and Lou Trivino. That\u2019s 12 players. And most of them are members of the Yankees\u2019 A-team, and without them, the Yankees haven\u2019t been able to find their footing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason 2 – Ignorant coaching.
\n<\/span>Unsurprisingly, Aaron Boone isn\u2019t that great of a general manager. He doesn\u2019t hold any players accountable and always gives players like Aaron Hicks and Josh Donaldson the \u201cHe will have a comeback season\u201d excuse. And he\u2019s even worse with the bullpen, putting in 4.50 ERA Clay Holmes in every close game thinking that he won’t give up about a hundred runs before recording the first out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason 3 – Bullpen.
\n<\/span>The Yankees\u2019 bullpen has struggled to keep up with the starters, usually giving up a couple of runs when it really matters; in a close game in the 9th between the Yankees and the Guardians, Domingo German had gone 8.1 innings pitched allowing only two hits. “Bonehead” Boone decides to bring in Clay Holmes who would then blow the 2-0 lead the Yankees had resulting in another loss for the Yanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason 4 – Hitting
\n<\/span>The current bats of the Yankees have run cold, having a team batting average of .230 and a total of 144 RBI\u2019s and 140 runs scored. The Yankees have also recorded 284 strikeouts and only 109 Bases on Balls. Talk about Terrible.<\/span><\/p>\n

While all hope seems lost, there is some hope for the future as Yankees fans. There are a bunch of prospects in our farm system that are soon to be all-stars, it\u2019s still early in the season, and most importantly, we\u2019re still the New York Yankees. I have no doubt in my mind that a World Series title will come soon, maybe not this year, but maybe the next season.
