On March 6, 2024, Trumbull High School\u2019s future business leaders and members of DECA competed in the State Career Development Conference at the Aqua Turf Club in Plainville, CT. Through their dedication <\/span>of time and effort to DECA this year, many students received placements in the top five in their categories, as well as qualified for the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California in April.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From Trumbull High School, fifty-two ambitious students attended SCDC, performing business role-plays and or presenting business projects they had prepared over the last few months in categories of marketing, entrepreneurship, finance and many more. Their overall placements were based on their DECA test scores, as well as their role play and presentation in front of various judges at the conference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trumbull High\u2019s top scoring winners include:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>1st Place Travel & Tourism – Aleksandra Czajkowski & Brooke Levine<\/span><\/p>\n

2nd place Sports & Entertainment Marketing – Georgia Marsh
\n<\/span>2nd place Entrepreneurship- Gerald Mensah & Shubham Sinha
\n<\/span>2nd place Marketing Management – Danielle Lyon & Aanya Parekh
\n<\/span>2nd place Franchise Business Plan – Zuri Njoroge & Elaina Treacy<\/span><\/p>\n

3rd place international Business Plan – Olivia DeLawder & Reese McKinney
\n<\/span>3rd place, Buying & Merchandising – Liam Stumph & Lily Macknight
\n<\/span>3rd place Franchise Business Plan – Luke Simon, Aarav Modi & Emmett White

These accomplishments demonstrate the commitment of Trumbull High DECA students to academic and professional excellence. They will continue to compete at the national level in late April.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To support the students attending the International Conference, DECA will be fundraising locally at Stop & Shop, other small businesses, and around the school.
