Legends of Fear, a haunted house attraction, located on a farm in Shelton CT, officially opened up for the season on October 3rd. Recognized as one of best haunted houses in Connecticut, Legends of Fear has definitely done their best this year to make everyone have a fun, and more importantly, a scary time.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two different sections of Legends of Fear, the “Haunted Hayride” and the “Hallow Trail”. The hayride brings you on a guided tour of the forest while the hollow trail takes you on a self-paced walk. The trail and hayride offer different settings with actors dressed up in different disguises on each. Costumes are typically themed for Halloween.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the different settings consist of a circus of clowns, a dollhouse of frightening dolls, and even a hospital with patients waiting to scare you. The actors make the experience feel more realistic.\u00a0 They appear to truly be enjoying themselves while making a little extra cash during the fall season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI found it so scary,” said sophomore Gabby LeGault.” It’s a haunted house like no other –something I didn’t expect!\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

LeGault also suggests that \u201cgoing with a lot of friends is best, especially if someone decides to leave because of how scary it is\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe actors really do a great job, even their props,” according to sophomore Hannah Dizney. “I feel like I’m in a scary movie!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Check out the new Annabelle doll house, a new part of the Hollow Trail after two years. Visitor comments suggest that it is very well done and scary.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was smart to bring something that originated in Connecticut to life,” says Dizney. “I mean, the real Anabelle doll is from Monroe, a town so close to us\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The attractions are open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as the Thursday before Halloween only for the trail. Individually the tickets for the trail and the hayride are about $35 per person while a ticket for the combination (both the trail and the hayride) is about $68.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
