Spices around the globe come together in a time of forgiveness and togetherness. Love, hope and family are all things that bring us together on the special day: Thanksgiving. Not only does family bring us together but so does food!<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course the world renowned baker Martha Stewart’s cook book guides chefs\/adults through the chaos in the kitchen. With only 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, pie dough, 12 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced, \u00be cup sugar, plus additional for pie top, the zest and juice of 1 lemon, 1 \u00bd teaspoons cinnamon, \u00bd teaspoon nutmeg, a pinch ground cloves, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter and 1 large egg you can have a delicious apple pie inches from the rest of the fine dining on your thanksgiving table. <\/span><\/p>\n

As for places in Connecticut to purchase a prepared pie, there are many! Trumbull’s Plasko’s Farm for one and even Granny\u2019s Pie Factory located in East Hartford. Although we might be biased, Plasko’s is the place to go! With their famous ice-cream you must also try their warm pie on your kitchen counter this year.
