As we return to school after Labor Day Weekend, there is no denying that fall is around the corner. School is getting back into full swing, fall sports seasons are starting, and days are becoming shorter. However, with the new season comes new drink, snack, and dessert recipes to try! Here are a few of our favorites.
Halloween Rice Krispies Treats
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 15 ounces marshmallow (1.5 bags)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 9 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup M&M’s (preferably Halloween colored!)
- ½ cup sprinkles
- 1 cup candy corn
Directions:
Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with foil, then spray it with cooking spray and set it aside.
Melt the butter and marshmallows in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Once melted, remove the pan from the stove and stir in the vanilla. Then, stir in the cereal, candy, and sprinkles.
Pour the mixture into the baking pan and then flatten it. Let it cool completely, and then cut it into squares.
Caramel Apple Fudge
Ingredients Needed:
- ½ stick unsalted butter
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 3 packets apple cider drink mix
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- ½ cup caramel bits
- 1.5 tbsp heavy cream
Directions:
Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with two layers of tinfoil, leaving some hanging off from the edge.
In a big pot on the stove, combine the butter, marshmallows, sugar, most of the heavy cream, and apple cider packets over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes, or until the marshmallows melt. Microwave the remaining heavy cream and caramel pieces at 45 second intervals until smooth. Stir white chocolate chips into the stove mixture until melted.
Pour the fudge into the baking pan, and drizzle the caramel mixture on top of it. Refrigerate the mixture for 3 hours, and then cut it into small squares afterwards.
Halloween Frappuccino
Ingredients Needed:
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 oz cooled espresso or strongly brewed coffee
- 1/2 tsp xanthan gum
- 1.5 oz caramel syrup
- 1 oz hazelnut syrup
- 3 tbsp chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp caramel syrup (for topping)
- Whipped cream
- Crushed pretzel
- Crushed oreos
Directions:
Using a blender, blend milk, espresso, xanthan gum, caramel syrup, hazelnut syrup, and chocolate chips until smooth.
Drizzle caramel sauce inside a cup, then pour the frappuccino into that cup. Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce, leftover chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, and oreos.
We hope you try and enjoy all of these recipes!
