Maura Brunt

""Hello everyone! I’m Maura Brunt, a current Junior at Trumbull High School (Class of 2027) and one of the Eagle’s Eye Managing Editors!

I started writing for the Eagle’s Eye in my sophomore year, so this year marks my second year on staff. After writing my first article about the THS Club fair, I fell in love with writing and journalism – especially when covering topics like school events or holidays. For me, journalism has been a fun and meaningful way to learn more about the world around me – both globally and locally – while also sharing that knowledge with others.

The Eagle’s Eye has truly expanded my writing abilities through the workshops and lessons from past editors, which have motivated me to experiment with and incorporate different elements and styles into my work.

As Managing Editor, I help plan and run staff meetings, as well as guide our staff writers through writing their own articles. I have many ideas for meeting activities and hope to encourage writers to have fun while writing, while also using journalism as an opportunity to develop their skills and techniques. As a leader, I aim to inspire other students and staff members to feel the same excitement and passion that I did during my first year and still currently feel: to truly cherish and contribute to this newspaper.

This year has already had a promising start, so I’m looking forward to seeing that continue! I am truly grateful for the opportunity to help lead the newspaper, and I look forward to contributing to the expansion and growing success of the Eagle’s Eye.

Jenny Hua

""Jenny Hua (Class of 2027) joined The Eagle’s Eye sophomore year and now serves as the Webmaster. She loves applying her technical skills and attention to detail to write high-quality articles and implement website improvements.

Outside of the newspaper, Jenny spends her time designing lights in the auditorium, volunteering with the Interact Club, competing on the Science Bowl team, and building robots. She’s looking forward to another successful year with The Eagle’s Eye!

Audrey Wu

""Hi! My name is Audrey Wu, and I’m a current junior at Trumbull High (Class of 2028). I’m so thrilled to be one of the managing editors for Eagle’s Eye!

I joined the Eagle’s Eye staff my sophomore year, and since then, I’ve grown to love journalism and telling stories about our school and community. I’m grateful to work with such an amazing team where I’ve been able to learn more about the journalism process. I’m especially interested in current events and culture, so journalism has been a great way for me to explore the topics I’m curious about!

Outside of Eagle’s Eye, I’m involved in Trillium and girls’ lacrosse, and I spend a lot of my time volunteering in my community. As a section leader for Athletics in Trillium, I’ve learned how important organization, communication, and teamwork are when working on a project. On the field, I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, supporting my teammates, and pushing myself even when things get challenging. In my free time, I love traveling and learning about different cultures. I truly love to learn about the world around me.

I’m so excited to be a managing editor this year and work with our staff to bring new ideas and stories to Eagle’s Eye. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish this year!
