Halloween is just around the corner, and it is not just about trick or treating, it is about decorating! There are many ways that you could decorate your house this year, but I would like to share some of my best decorating tips, which will ensure that you have the best decorated house on the block.
Smoking Witch’s Cauldron
A great start to your front porch is to have a smoking witch’s cauldron. You don’t need a fog machine or huge special effects. All you will need is a bowl of water and a mist maker with lights. Mist makers go for about $15. When you place the mist maker in the bowl of water, it will generate colorful steam that will flow around the bowl, like a witch’s potion.
Lighting
Lighting is an extremely important part of your front lawn. I like to replace all of the lightbulbs on my front porch with blacklights. This creates a spooky, glow-in-the dark type experience for your trick or treaters. Sometimes, I like to set up a mini disco light, which also goes for about $15, on my front porch to make the experience more dramatic.
Spooky
For more spooky-like decorations, add a cotton spider web to your shrubs and wrap caution tape from one pillar to the other. This gives off a crime scene look. Small window clings can make it look like spiders are crawling up your windows. To go an extra step, put a speaker behind your open window with spooky music playing.
Candy
Halloween is not complete without candy. Be sure to buy a variety of different candies to give out to your neighbors’ kids. Put it in a fun, Halloween themed pot to be more creative. I hope you all have an amazing Halloween, and start decorating before it is too late!

These tips are awesome! Well done, Luke!
