After a tough loss to Greenwich, Trumbull got back on track to defeat the Fairfield Warde Mustangs on October 29 at Tetreau-Davis Field.

A game like this under the Friday night lights was just what Trumbull needed to gain some confidence back.

One of Fairfield Warde’s mistakes in the game was their defensive plans. Right from the start, they were unable to stop the Eagles offense and by the end of the first quarter the score was 28-0 Trumbull. In the end, Trumbull had scored a total of six touchdowns. They were scored by seniors Owen Solano, Corbin Smith, and Justin Delaney. Junior Nicholas Tuccinardi also played a great offensive game for the Eagles. Trumbull enforced strong defense, limiting Warde to only scoring a single touchdown.

“It was a great team win and rebound from the Greenwich game,” Senior Justin Delaney said about his team’s win, “Now it’s time to prepare for the Ridgefield game, and focus on winning each game one at a time for the rest of the season.”

With only a few games remaining, Trumbull is making a big push to earn a spot in the CIAC playoff bracket, but it is going to be a challenge. The Eagles are very hopeful that they will prove their belonging in the playoffs after playing Ridgefield, Danbury, and St. Joseph to finish off the regular season.
