Looking for an easy after school snack or non-dairy dessert? Then this recipe is for you! Believe it or not there is an easy way to make ice cream with just one ingredient, bananas! The first step in making this frozen treat is cutting ripe bananas into slices, putting them into a plastic bag and leaving them in the freezer for at least two hours!
The amount of bananas depends on how many people you plan on serving, I normally account for 1 banana per person.
Next, take the banana slices out of the freezer and put them into a food processor, then put the food processor on level high, until there are no chunks left and there is a creamy consistency. After this you are ready to enjoy!
However if you are looking to add more to the banana ice cream, I have also found that adding just a teaspoon of sugar or cinnamon adds more flavor to the ice cream! You can also add peanut butter or even chocolate chips! I like this recipe a lot because it is really easy to make, especially when you can pull the bananas right out of the freezer. It is also very easy to personalize by adding toppings!
