On Thursday, May 28, the 2026 senior class enjoyed their class trip to Six Flags New England. This day provided all the students with an opportunity to celebrate their hard work over the past 4 years with their peers and create lasting memories just weeks before graduation. This annual trip, a cherished tradition, has been very looked forward to by these seniors.
After arriving at the park, located in Agawam, Massachusetts, students split off into groups and explored the attractions. Popular rides such as Superman: The Ride, Batman: The Dark Knight, and Thunderbolt drew crowds of people into their lines. Other students enjoyed the nice weather while strolling around browsing the shops, games and food areas. Food such as Carlini’s Pizza and Coaster Creamery caught students’ attention and were big hits. The wide variety of attractions allowed students to spend the day in any way that they wanted. Whether that meant adrenaline-filled coasters or relaxing food tasting, there was something for each student to enjoy on their big day.
Additionally, this trip offered the seniors a chance to relax after a very demanding year of classes, extracurriculars and excruciating college applications. Many students described this day as one of the highlights of their senior year, which serves as Trumbull High’s goal for this trip. Students enjoyed the opportunity to bond with their classmates outside of the classroom and appreciate these last moments with each other.
Beyond the entertainment of this trip, it acted as a reminder to many students to appreciate every moment of their final weeks before stepping into a new chapter in their lives.
As Trumbull High Graduation approaches quickly, events like these let students slow down and be present in the moment. Whether students spent the day riding rollercoasters or enjoying the food, the trip was a celebration of the accomplishments each and every senior has achieved. The friendships and experiences that have helped define the Class of 2026 will be long remembered after they graduate. As students prepare to move away, work, and pursue their dreams, their senior class trip will always be cherished and will remain in their hearts forever.
