In Trumbull High School and throughout the United States, music plays a significant role in the lives of teenagers. According to the New York Times, the average teenager listens to two and a half hours of music every day. Students appreciate music through a variety of different activities, including band, orchestra, choir, and personal entertainment. Regardless of the form, music can mean much more than just chords and melodies to teens.
