Kókuszgolyó, which is Hungarian for Coconut Balls, are quick and easy treats that are perfect for any family gathering. 

 

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of graham crackers (Goya Maria Cookies)
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 100 grams powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cacao
  • ½ teaspoons of Rum Extract 
  • 100 grams of unsalted shredded coconut flakes
  • 200 milliliters of milk

Directions: 

First, you are going to start with grinding together your choice of crackers (if they aren’t already crushed), which are the base of this dessert. Next, you are going to add vanilla sugar and powdered sugar to the mix. Then, add your cacao powder and the rum extract before adding the butter and milk to the mix. You are going to want to combine together everything by using your hands until it forms a mass. Make sure you wet your hands while doing this so that the mix doesn’t stick to your hands. You want the consistency to be moist, however, you don’t want it to feel watery. 

Once everything is combined, you are going to take small amounts of the mixture, and are going to roll them together into small balls. Then, you are going to take each ball and will want to roll them in the coconut flakes, trying to coat each ball as best as you can. After this is done, you are going to want to leave the balls in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours. This will allow the flavors of the mix to merge and will allow you to enjoy this tasty dessert!
