The Trumbull High School varsity boys basketball team, composed of 15 players, is 8 in 5 this season.
Senior Captains Sean Racette and Luca Antonio, “have been nothing but excellent trying to guide this team to our goals”, according to sophomore player Ryan Johnston. “They always have our backs when things are good or bad but most importantly the team looks up to them every game or practice”.
The boys are going into this game with a strong mentality, planning to “leave it all on the court”, according to Coach Bray.
The players all agree that the loss last year against St. Joseph stuck with them, and they are all excited to get another shot.

“No matter who we have played this year our team comes into the game having confidence that we will win”, said Johnston. “With a lot of preparation for each and every game on the court in practice or watching film we feel ready to go every time”.
This has been a good season for the boys, and they have spent months preparing for their big game Friday.
“We have been competitive in all our games at home and on the road”, Coach Bray said. “We are playing great defense, hustling, and working hard on every possession. We always stress playing hard, smart and together!”
“The team knows every game on our schedule is like playoff basketball, and we will approach the St. Joe’s game no differently: prepare at practice, stay focused and be ready on Friday,” Bray added.
