Trumbull High’s thespians will be back in full force this year for this year’s annual spring musical. Crazy for You will premiere March 20th and will be shown through March 24th. The musical this year will be more traditional than last year’s, The Wiz. The dances will be tap based and include music written by the Gershwin in the 30s. Crazy for You begins at a setting in New York City but moves to a small town setting in Nevada. The show is a love story that THS students would be a fool to miss!
The show will include a cast of about 60 students including singers, dancers, and actors. These dedicated members will practice anywhere from two to five days a week for the months leading up to opening night.
Senior Alex Allyn says, “I’m really excited for the show this year. My life revolves around theater so I can’t wait for it to begin.” Allyn went on to say that auditions took place last week and cast members will learn their roles on Monday December 17th.
Senior Noah Levy has been a cast member throughout his high school career and says “This will be my last show, so it will be very exciting and emotional.” Crazy for You is bound to be a crowd pleaser and THS students would be crazy to miss the performance! Look out for more information in upcoming months on show times and ticket sales.

I saw the Wiz play last year and was very impressed with it, so I would definitely like to see this one, too. It seems like the cast and crew put some much time and effort into these productions, but most people who are not involved do not realize or appreciate this. I understand it because my brother, Ricky, was a part of the crew for the Wiz. He put so much time into the play, and he didn’t even have a part! It seems like everyone involved really loves doing it, and it shows during their productions.
