All sports teams this year had a pretty eventful spring season! There were many successes, and some defeats. Some sports are still in the process of concluding and finalizing their season, however most sports have come to an end.
Starting with varsity softball, the girls ended their season with a record of 12-8. THS baseball also seemed to have a very successful season filled with many wins, and a record of 12-9. The girls tennis team had a very great season and concluded their season with an FCIAC record of 4-11. The boys tennis team had an amazing season and finished off with a record of 12-4, ranking 5th in the state!
Boys volleyball had an almost beautiful undefeated season with a record of 18-1! The boys and girls track and field teams had many athletes competing. The girls track team had outstanding outcomes from FCIACS, with sophomore McKenzyi Bell breaking a school record of 12.27 in the 100 meter, resulting in 1st place! The boys track team ended with a total team score of 55 after FCIACS in 4th place. The girls golf team finished with an FCIAC record of 8-1, and an overall record of 8-1.
The boys lacrosse team has a current record of 8-7. The girls lacrosse team finished their season off with a record of 10-6. Girls rugby ended their season with a record of 2-4, and boys rugby ended their undefeated season with a record of 5-0. Both rugby teams are happy to announce that next year in the ‘26 season, they will be official varsity sports teams!
This year in 2025, there were many seniors committing to colleges to play their spring sports! Congratulations to all! Maris Branyan committed to University of Hartford for golf, Reg Campbell committed to Iona University for lacrosse, Sean Carravone committed to Stevens Institute of Technology for lacrosse, Mia Edwards committed to Springfield College for lacrosse, Justin Ilie committed to Washington & Lee University for tennis, Ava Karolus committed to Loyola University Maryland for dance, Sara Kubicko committed to University of Maryland for dance, Erica Laurentino committed to Shenandoah University for golf, Dan McCarthy committed to UMass Dartmouth for track and field, Charlie Mirabel committed to St. Thomas University for rugby, Ryan Paine committed to Fairfield University for baseball, Sebastian Perez committed to Manhattan University for track and field, Lorenzo Sevilla committed to Siena College for rugby, Isaiah Vega committed to University of Mount Union for volleyball, Ryan Johnston committed to Seton Hall for baseball, Amelia Tutek committed to Iona University for lacrosse, and Dan Vidal committed to Springfield College for baseball! Congrats seniors!
