Every year on March 14th Trumbull High celebrates National Pi Day! Pi might be formally known in the Greek letter as “π”. It is used in mathematics to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
In the mathematics classes, students celebrated with some parties or baked goods. Senior Katie Rubin happily shows off her decorated Pi shirt to her class. “I’m so happy it’s Pi Day!” Rubin states as she recites several digits.
